May Self-Reliance Spotlight

Stake Update

Our eight active self-reliance groups are now more than halfway complete.  Lives continue to be blessed as they learn, commit and act.  Our next round of groups will begin this summer (exact date TBD).

Principle #6 – Work: Take Responsibility and Persevere

“God has designed this mortal existence to require nearly constant exertion. . . . By work, we sustain and enrich life. . . . Work builds and refines character, creates beauty, and is the instrument of our service to one another and to God. A consecrated life is filled with work, sometimes repetitive, … sometimes unappreciated but always work that improves, … lifts, [and] aspires.”

 D. Todd Christofferson, “Reflections on a Consecrated Life,” Ensign, Nov. 2010.

Invitation

Choose something that is hard or uncomfortable and finish the task.  Ponder on what it took to accomplish the task.  Write it down in your journal.
