On October 20, the stake hosted its third Family History Fair. This year’s event had the best attendance yet: 145 attendees. For the first time, there were more attendees from the community than from within the stake. Twenty-four individual classes were taught by top-notch instructors from around Ohio.

“It shows us that people want to find their ancestors and they want to do it the right way,” said Sister Jeanne Peugh, director of the Family History Center and the organizer of the fair. “They want to know what sources are out there and how to access those sources. It’s a testimony to each of us that this work is truly the Lord’s work, and He desires that each of us will feel the Spirit of Elijah as we continue to seek out our kindred dead.”
Next year’s Family History Fair is already on the calendar. It is scheduled for October 19, 2019. Mark your calendar, because you won’t want to miss it!
