The Stake Family History Center was inundated Saturday, 22 June, with about 53 youth and staff members. It was Stake Youth Conference and one of the service projects on tap for the day’s activities was Indexing. Luckily, for the consultants ready to help, the deluge happened over the course of the day in four organized waves. It was a sight to behold.
Forty-seven eager youth ready to learn were turned loose to serve in the work of saving God’s children. Many came already armed with an understanding of the process of indexing, others after but a little coaching took off at a fast pace. Over 1,200 records were digitized in the four fifty-minute classes, which was at a rate of 25.5 names per youth.
We have some pretty amazing youth in our stake who were willing to participate in this on-going work.
