The Medina Ward is trying to take a proactive approach to their missionary work. In Ward Council, members discussed the need to have events to invite their friends to. The Council decided to host a ward Volleyball Night every Friday and the ward is loving it.
Every Friday ward members meet and invite friends to play non-competitive volleyball. Friends of all ages are welcome to play, and the group is very encouraging even offering a “second chance” serve when a first try doesn’t make it over the net. The ward hopes that members will continue to invite friends and it will be a comfortable way to introduce others to our church building and the great ward family we share.
In conjunction with our volleyball night, the missionaries from both the Medina and Wadsworth ward host a Book of Mormon study group. Each week they will read a
chapter of the Book of Mormon and then discuss it with the group. Participants share their favorite verse from the chapter. It has also created a comfortable environment for new converts and those investigating the church to ask questions and explore gospel topics. The Medina Ward hopes to continue to strengthen our missionary efforts and strengthen our Ward family.
