Family History Corner

by Jeanne Peugh, Director

Church meetings have moved to the home and all the temples worldwide are closed. We just heard recently that the Columbus temple, when things get back to normal, will remain closed for two years for renovations.

So, where does that leave us with temple and family history work? We should look upon this as a great opportunity to excel in our research and family awareness and to prepare for the restart of temple work with a refreshed and revised vigor. We have been given time to get totally organized in our approach to fulfilling our temple work responsibilities for our ancestors and time to check our data on each member of each family, making sure all are accounted for. The time is ours to gather information on their lives, their achievements, their experiences, and prepare to enrich our future temple experiences.

Take this time to flood your minds with the names, relationships, and loves of your ancestors so you can be ready to flood the temples with the blessings, experiences and joys of eternal happiness when the doors swing open again. Be a part of it! Don’t hesitate to contact consultants in your wards or branches for help. You may also contact Jeanne Peugh at djpeugh@sbcglobal.net if you feel you have hit a brick wall.
